HERRIMAN — Herriman's annual Fall Cleanup ran Sept. 8 through Sept. 12 at the Butterfield Park West parking lot, 14200 S. 6400 W, and that drop-off window has now closed, according to the city. The lot took material each of those days from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. 1
Residents who took part had to show their Fall Cleanup postcard along with proof of Herriman residency at the entrance, and each household was limited to two loads, the city said. Accepted proof was a driver's license or a utility bill carrying a Herriman address, and vehicles were limited to a 1-ton pickup truck with trailer or smaller 1.
Accepted items included general household waste, tree limbs and brush trimmings, and select household appliances — washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges and flat-screen televisions — along with one mattress and box spring per postcard. Hazardous materials, tires, paint, batteries, refrigerators, dirt and concrete were not accepted, among other prohibited items. The city said a complete list of accepted and prohibited materials is posted on the cleanup webpage 1.
The city's RV dump station was closed for the cleanup, from Sept. 8 through Sept. 13 1.
Complete details, including the full list of accepted materials, are published at herriman.gov/cleanup 1.
