BLUFFDALE — FrontRunner 2X crews were expected to begin construction as early as Sept. 21, 2026 on a section of canal that runs east of Royal Coachman Drive in Bluffdale, according to a project alert Bluffdale posted in its alert center on Sept. 21, 2026 1.
The work includes security fence installation, tree removal along the canal, excavation and canal box culvert construction, the alert said 1. It said trees along the park strip on the neighborhood side of the fence will not be removed or impacted, and that equipment will be staged within the canal right of way and kept off the main Royal Coachman Drive 1.
Residents can expect heavy equipment movements through the area, dust, noise and minor vibrations during work hours, according to the alert 1. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the notices say work will continue through spring 2027 1.
